an introduction

Welcome to the site. This is an attempt to provide some space where I can  appreciate my bioregion – the  ‘ Bogong bioregion’ in south eastern Australia. It stretches from the great Basalt Plains in the west across Melbourne and the Central Highlands, the Victorian Alps and over the border into south eastern NSW.

This mega bioregion covers a series of smaller ones – bit by bit I will add details on each of these.

This blog is for two main reasons – to appreciate the people, culture and landscapes of my home region; and to explore what role place and bioregionalism might have for us in the 21st century.

I would welcome your comments and input, regards, Cam
