CERES Environment Park
Corner Roberts Street and Stewart Street, Brunswick.

Two women went on wild journeys that changed their lives – and wrote about them. Claire Dunn spent a transformational year living in the bush and learning wilderness survival skills. My Year Without Matches – by Claire Dunn is the memoir of that journey. Maya Ward’s pilgrimage to the source of the Yarra is the inspiration for her book The Comfort of Water: A River Pilgrimage :

Wild Mind’s Sean O’Carroll will facilitate a conversation on how we foster wildness at the heart of our urban lives. We will gather around the fire at ceres’ Wurundjeri teaching place, a wild and beautiful spot by Merri Creek. Books, soup and chai will be available. It’s a CERES fundraiser, suggested donation $5. Head to the leaf-shaped roof to the north of CERES, just past the African village.
