an autumn visit

Early season snow is too much to pass up some times. These are some images from a trip in early May 2009. Every time I climb up the north face of the mountain I marvel at the old snow gum forests that survived the fires of 2007.

I love the broad feeling you get up on the mountain, surrounded by the deepness of the Howqua and other rivers and distant high points of ragged hills and mountains.
